To kickoff the Hayden50 celebration, a coloring book was printed that featured patterns made from the Hayden50 logo and building features within Hayden Library. Some of these include the exterior wall, carpet and stairwell patterns, and the Lantern of Knowledge on Hayden Lawn. In the next two years, Hayden Library will be undergoing renovations and many of the building features will be changed or replaced.
The book was initially set out for students to take during two days of fall 2017 finals week. Around 300 books were given away during these two days. During the rest of the Hayden50 celebrations, more books were given as prizes and as part of gift bags. Crayon boxes were included with the coloring books in the later celebrations.
