As part of my Master’s capstone project, I developed “Mindful Coloring,” a research-based exhibit exploring how coloring practices can support mindfulness. I needed to translate complex academic research into a public exhibit experience that was interactive, approachable, and informative– all while meeting my program’s graduation requirements.

I designed a series of original coloring pages and supporting printed materials that introduced key research takeaways. I also compiled a bound thesis book with visual and written documentation of the entire design process. The exhibit succeeded in engaging the public with thoughtful, hands-on materials and received positive feedback from both visitors and faculty reviewers. The thesis work met all academic requirements and formed the foundation for later mindfulness-based design projects.
